Add-An-Artist and the Artist Database
Check out the new DTB Artist Database here. If you don’t see you, your band, business, venue, then go on over to Add-An-Artist to get added now. Once we approve the submission, it’ll show up on the DTB Artist Database and (as soon as we release it) the DigThis! iPhone/Android app.
DigThisBand Gets Some Talent!
DigThisBand is growing! Because I can’t figure out how to use Photoshop, Shirley Griffith is joining me to make the forthcoming (I promise) ‘Dig This, Charlotte!’ app even more awesome. Shirley’s an incredible artist and I’m really jazzed about getting to work with her. Thanks, Shirley! Now get to work…
Thank you sir. May I have another?
A big thanks to everyone who’s been contributing to the ever-growing DigThisBand database of all things music. But we need more!
Here’s the deal: We’re building a database of every band, singer, songwriter, venue, bar, coffeeshop, restaurant, gallery, label, record store — you name them — that makes Charlotte’s music scene great. Why? The soon-to-be-released (I promise!) Dig This, Charlotte app (iPhone and Android) will put this encyclopedic knowledge of all-things-local-music right at your fingertips. You’ll have access to show schedules, media, news, free downloads, and a whole bunch of other stuff I haven’t thought of yet. And best of all, it helps get the word out about all of the talented musicians and the businesses that support them. And even best-est-er, it’ll be completely free (not kinda free, sorta free, or even mostly free). Just free.
So, head over to the Add-A-Band page and tap in the vitals for your favorite bands and other musical people, places or things in Charlotte (or wherever you are). Is it your band? Cool. Is it you? Awesome. Is it a club or a bar or a coffeeshop? Great. Tattoo artist? Excellent.
We Have Artwork!
I may not have the software ready yet, but thanks to the lovely and talented Shirley Griffith, there’s artwork for the new DigThisBand app. So, it may not do anything yet, but at least the app’s going to look nice…

As a gadget-geek on a budget, I relate.
